Play is an important part of a child's development. Children develop several language and communication skills through play. Also play helps children develop motor and social skills. Learning different and difficult concepts in the form of play helps children to maintain interest and motivation in education. Children tend to learn critical things through play. Everyone knows about play through streets, playgrounds, classrooms and yet it is difficult to define.
Some games such as knocking blocks or playing with pebbles, stones, grains, etc. helps them learn concepts of math and science such as addition, subtraction, gravity, etc. Play based learning involves learning about new concepts in the form of play such as learning subtraction , multiplication through stairs. Play is always considered a fun activity for children and it helps children maintain a keen interest in educating themselves. Playing with peers also helps them learn faster.
Play based learning involves child centered learning which helps children to explore themselves and the environment. It helps them learn new things and build self esteem and confidence. Play is important for healthy brain development. Every child has the right to play and right to education.
