Children are very difficult to handle when you cannot keep them occupied for longer time and nowadays children end up using electronic gadgets like mobile, TV, computer, etc. To overcome with these challenges there are various creative activities that you can engage your child in. These activities will also be helpful for children to enhance their creativity and imagination.
For salt painting you will require epsom salt, food colors, glue, drawing paper and pencil. Firstly let your child mix the food color into Epsom salt and also let the kid select the color of his own choice. After the child is done with mixing make some shapes on the paper, you can also let your child draw any shape. Once the salt and shape is ready spread glue into the shape and let your child fill it with different colors Epsom salt that he already created. Kids will love this activity and will get involved in it actively.
For this activity you will require a photograph of your child or any other family photo and take a print out of it. After this head outside and collect stones, twigs, flowers, leaves, bird feathers, etc. Once you and your child collectively have collected the material start pasting it to the picture in such a way so that it will turn into a memorable picture of your child or family in the nature. You can also use simple pictures of nature or any object that your child likes.
This is a very easy activity for children you just need some cotton balls and a shape of rainbow on the paper. Now let your child glue these cotton balls and then paint it as the rainbow colors. Here you can paint it with the paint brush, fingers or using the dropper, whichever your kid will love. You can also make other shapes through cotton ball and let your child have the freedom to select the color and painting method.
For this activity you only need some brown sugar and molds of various shapes. Now start making these sand castles with brown sugar and let your child have the freedom to make his own castle in any shape. When you don’t have time or opportunity to take your child to beach and play with sand then you can use this method for giving your child an exposure and some creative activity.
All of the above activities will engage your child and help you in keeping them away from gadgets and technology. Your child's imagination skills will improve too because they will be using their creativity as they want. Let your child explore.
